In the compilation ‘Rain on the Ganges’, there is an updated compilation of my new and old articles. It also includes soulful memoirs, interesting discussions, short travelogues and some reviews. Ever since I joined Facebook, I keep on weaving something or the other on the virtual screen. Especially, my prose writing is the gift of Facebook, which has been read and taught by well-conscious friends over the years. In Kashi, the Ganges is not only the north channel, but also the flowing mantra of ideological consciousness. This is also the land of Ras, that is why it is also called Banaras. The splendid beauty of the Ganges, shimmering in the sky lamps of Karthik and drenching in the raindrops, remains in the eyes even today. Banaras has given birth not only to me but also to my writing. As a teenager, I had shed many of my compositions in the Ganges due to the affectionate fear of my father, but the compassionate mother has returned those creations to me by innumerable times. – Dr. Chandrabhal Sukumar
