The idea of putting the problems of the society through poems had been going on in my mind for a long time, but due to the lack of time, I was not able to do so. In March 2020, due to the rising outbreak of Corona, the Government of India had to take a decision on the lockdown and the educational institutions had to be closed due to its horrors. Strict instructions were given to the people that no person should come out of the house without a ring. Using the time properly, I started writing poems and in this endeavor, I consider myself successful. Along with this, I had been compiling Garhwali folklores for a long time through various mediums, which is now complete in front of you in the form of “Hindi Garhwali Kavya Sangrah avm Garhwali Lokoktiyan (Aukhana-Pakhana)”. It is also said that bad times also go through some good learning and something similar has happened to me. Through my poems, I tried to compile the spoken utterances (Aukhana-Pakhana) in environment, migration, politics, culture, customs, food and common language and bring it in the form of a book. – Dalip Singh Bisht (Assistant Professor & Department In-charge, Political Science Department, Government Post Graduate College Agastyamuni, Rudraprayag).
